- Our 2018 Christmas Wish List - Can You Help?
Each year Summit Christian College has needs that go beyond our annual budget. These needs vary from year to year and are presented as our annual Christmas Wish List. In the past we have received special year-end gifts from generous friends to help us purchase books, computers, furniture, and classroom needs. Those familiar with Summit Christian College know that our college's reputation as a respected Christian institution of higher education is due to its very intentional purpose of providing an excellent Bible-focused education at rates our students can honestly afford. Your generous kindness toward the ministry of Summit Christian College is exactly how we are able to accomplish this. When you make a special contribution to our college's annual Christmas Wish List, you are providing our faculty and students with much needed, but non-budgeted items while ensuring that these expenses will not increase our students' tuition costs. Please prayerfully consider how you can bless Summit Christian College this year. May God bless you for your kindness.

- Fall Fling was a great thing!
Fall Fling 2018 was a great success! We had a total of 118 high school students and adult sponsors in attendance for the weekend of November 9-11. Through the participation of these students and sponsors, we hit our goal of helping high school students encounter God and help them deepen Christian relationships. We hope many of these students consider Summit Christian College as part of their future. Isaac Stephanus challenged us through 2 Timothy 2:15 to make everything in our lives about God and not about us, to follow Jesus by being committed to growing in relationship with Him and fulfilling His mission to make disciples, and to study the Word of God. By doing this, we will be approved by God as faithful workmen. Workshop lessons were led by SCC faculty and students. Professor Aaron Prohs walked through Hebrews 11 and showed how we can be approved by faith. Professor Dave Robinson shared principles to correctly interpret Scripture, so we can be approved to accurately handle the Word of Truth. SCC Student Bergan Morris taught out of Ephesians 6 and encouraged students to use the armor of the approved. SCC Student Seth Leathermon organized a Spiritual Formation Walk around campus. As groups moved from station to station they did different activities to help them grow spiritually, such as meditation, encouragement, discussion, Scripture reading, praying, etc. We also had fun activities, sipped Cappuccino and Company coffee, sang meaningful songs, ate great food, and grew stronger friendships! Next year's Fall Fling will be held on November 8-10. Hope to see you there!
- Students to see missions on a global scale
During our weekly Chapel service on November 14, prayers of praise, protection, and provision were lifted up for this week's International Conference on Missions (ICOM) held in Cincinnati, OH. SCC professor Dave Robinson conducted the campus-wide prayer chapel, guiding prayer for the ICOM main session speakers, workshops and workshop leaders, exhibits and exhibitors, missionaries and their families, church leaders, volunteers, and the thousands, including our Summit students, who will be attending the five-day event. We have thirteen students and two adult chaperones attending ICOM this year. This will be the first time for several of our students to attend the event, an extensive international conference serving as a connection point for global missions. Students will be immersed into global cultures as they attend workshops, engage with exhibitors at the trade show, meet missionaries and hear their stories and experiences, and be inspired by speakers from the global stage. In the past, Summit students have come away from ICOM inspired to serve on mission fields from Russia to Africa. Visit ICOM's Current Missions page to learn more about the many areas of global missions our students will be introduced to. Continue to pray for our students throughout the remaining week, for their hearts to be opened to new possibilities and opportunities to serve the Kingdom, and also for their safe travels back to Nebraska with ignited spirits!
