State Authorizations

Summit Christian College is a four-year college chartered under the laws of the State of Nebraska. It is primarily a Bible college dedicated to the task of preparing individuals to serve in Christ’s church and other kingdom endeavors in fulfillment of the Great Commission.

Nebraska
Summit Christian College is located in Gering, Nebraska, and is authorized by Nebraska’s
Coordinating Commission for Postsecondary Education to offer undergraduate programs on a
“continuing basis” (Nebraska Revised Statute § 85-2403).

 

Arkansas
Summit Christian College has received a Letter of Exemption from Certification issued by the Arkansas Division of Higher Education to offer church-related programs/courses and grant church-related degrees.

Arizona
Summit Christian College is authorized to offer online religious degrees and classes which are used
solely for religious purposes within a religious organization (A.R.S § 32-3022(E).

 

Colorado
Summit Christian College is authorized as a Religious Training Institution under the Degree
Authorization Act (C.R.S. § 23-2-103 (4).

 

Hawaii
Summit Christian College, an accredited college without a physical presence in Hawaii, is authorized
to offer online classes and award religious degrees and certificates (H.R.S. § 16-255-3).

 

Kansas
Summit Christian College, having no physical presence in Kansas, is authorized to offer online
courses and award religious degrees and certificates in the state of Kansas.

 

Louisiana
Summit Christian College, not being domiciled in Louisiana, is authorized to offer online education to
residents of Louisiana.

 

Montana
Summit Christian College, an institution owned, controlled, operated and maintained by a religious
organization lawfully operating as a non-profit religious corporation is authorized to award religious
degrees and certificates in the state of Montana.

 

Oklahoma
Summit Christian College, not having a physical presence in Oklahoma, is authorized to offer online
classes and award religious degrees and certificates in the state of Oklahoma (§ 3.1.4.B).

 

South Dakota
Summit Christian College, not having a physical presence in South Dakota, is authorized to offer
online classes and award religious degrees and certificates in the state of South Dakota.

 

Texas
Summit Christian College, as an accredited college with no physical presence in Texas is authorized
to offer distance education programs in the state of Texas

 

Wyoming
Summit Christian College is authorized to offer educational services to Wyoming students (W.S § 21-
2-401)

 

Summit Christian College is authorized to operate in the state of Colorado as a post-secondary religious
institution in the category of “Seminary or Bible college”.
Summit Christian College is authorized to transact business in the state of South Dakota.
Summit Christian College is authorized to offer educational services to Wyoming students.
Summit Christian College is authorized to transact business in the state of Hawaii.
