- Christmas in July | summitcc
Wishlist of things that would help the college operate day to day available to donate to us to show your support for our ministry. “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love. I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.” — John 15:9–12 Joy? As a young boy, I loved Christmas. It was a season I looked forward to with great excitement-not just because of the presents (though I could hardly wait to open them!), but even more so because I knew it meant being with my grandparents, whom I loved dearly and who I knew loved me. And of course, there was the added joy of playing with my cousins when they came to visit. Now, as a much older boy, I still love Christmas. I still look forward to time with family, and I can hardly wait to see the excitement on my grandchildren’s faces when they open the gifts their grandmother and I picked out just for them. But over the years, the meaning of joy has deepened. I have grown in my appreciation for the far greater story behind the season—a story that centers not on gifts or gatherings, but on the coming of the One whose love surpasses even the love of family and friends. The joy we share because of Him is not fleeting or seasonal; it is eternal and complete. Christ’s love compels us to live in joyful fellowship with one another. We live in anticipation of His return, and He brings with Him the fulfillment of the greatest gift: eternity with the One who loves us beyond measure. All of us at Summit Christian College want to thank you for the love and support you have shown to our students and the ministry of this college throughout the years.
