SEMINAR FAQ
WHAT’S THE COST? All seminars are FREE and are available both in person (Gering, NE) and via Zoom. The faculty of SCC offer these seminars to potential students and churches as a way to experience what taking a class would be like while being equipped with important truths of the faith.
ARE THESE SEMINARS FOR CREDIT? No. SCC does offer courses for credit through Summit BRIDGE which uses Zoom. Classes can be taken individually or lead toward a degree or certificate. For more information check under the ACADEMIC tab from our website: Summitcc.edu
CAN I ATTEND ON CAMPUS? Absolutely! We’re located at 2025 21st St, Gering NE. You can also attend online via Zoom. The seminar specific code will be given upon registration for each seminar.
WHAT TECHNOLOGUY DO I NEED FOR ATTENDING VIA ZOOM? You can use your smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer. You do need a WI-FI connection and can use either the Zoom app or your browser to attend. A webcam is helpful, but not necessary.
HOW LONG ARE THE SEMINARS? Each one will be 45 minutes long.
WHEN ARE THESE SEMINARS SCHEDULED? Each seminar takes place the third Monday of the month (February thru May) from 6:00-6:45pm. (Feb 16th, March 16th, April 20th, and May 18th)
ARE THERE ANY TEXTBOOKS OR WORKBOOKS REQUIRED? The short answer is no, though we recommend you have something to take notes on. NOTE: Faculty may suggest books or resources to supplement what is being taught.
