AWARDS WEEK - Morris, Muller named Mentored Ministry Students of the Year

April 29, 2020

Each spring Summit Christian College recognizes its outstanding students, student leaders, mentors and mentees, and scholarship winners during its Spring Awards Banquet. In the past, this event has featured a formal dinner prepared and hosted by our student leaders followed by an awards presentation in the SCC Chapel. Due to the current restrictions of COVID-19, the college will be announcing its award winners throughout this week.

Today, we are pleased to announce that Bergan Morris and Luke Muller are the winners of the Mentored Ministry Student of the Year award. Bergan has been serving as an associate minister at the Lyman Christian Church and Luke has been serving as an associate minister at the Bayard Church of Christ this year. Both are Juniors this year at SCC.

To be selected for the award, faculty review the students’ ministry activities, leadership, and their hearts for ministry. Each year, multiple students stand out, and the final decision is never easy. This year, the faculty felt that both Luke and Bergan have exhibited a heart for service and a love for the great shepherd and his sheep and were both worthy of the award.
